A well-established and growing specialist contractor in the North West is looking to appoint an Estimator / Pre-Construction Lead due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and upcoming projects.

This business specialises in complex structural remedial works, concrete repairs, and masonry restoration, delivering technically challenging schemes across heritage, listed, and commercial buildings.

This is a genuine opportunity to step into a senior role where you can influence direction, contribute to strategic growth, and play a key part in work-winning activity.


The Opportunity

This role would suit either:

  • A Senior Estimator with strong work-winning experience looking to play a bigger strategic role
    OR

  • A technically strong Estimator ready to step up into a leadership-focused pre-construction position

You will work closely with Directors and operational teams, leading the estimating and pre-construction function while helping shape future growth.


Key Responsibilities
  • Leading the estimating and pre-construction process from enquiry through to contract award

  • Reviewing drawings, specifications, and technical documentation

  • Pricing complex structural repair and refurbishment schemes

  • Managing subcontractor and supplier enquiries

  • Preparing detailed cost plans and tender submissions

  • Identifying value engineering opportunities

  • Attending pre-tender and client meetings

  • Supporting business development and repeat client relationships


Project Types
  • Structural strengthening and remedial works

  • Concrete repair and corrosion protection

  • Masonry and faade restoration

  • Historic and listed building refurbishment

  • Complex alteration and remedial packages

Projects are primarily across the North West, delivering technically demanding schemes where quality and expertise are paramount.


What They're Looking For
  • Experience in structural repair, concrete repair, or heritage refurbishment

  • Background within a specialist contractor or main contractor delivering remedial packages

  • Strong commercial awareness

  • Ability to manage multiple tenders

  • Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with clients and consultants

  • Ambition to influence and help drive growth
